Abstract

The article summarizes more than many years of experience of applying gaming elements in remote teaching of the discipline "Ukrainian as a foreign language".
It is argued that during a full-scale war, the pedagogical community of Ukraine faces a difficult task to ensure a continuous educational process for all pupils and students, regardless of their actual location. Since the provision of educational services to foreign students has always been a profitable item for Ukrainian universities, everything possible should be done to maintain this contingent.
It is claimed that for better motivation of students, courses (and therefore tasks) should be diverse, if possible, use all channels of information perception (not only visual).
There are options for using such game components as the "Kahoot!" and "LearningApps.org" test services, the "Lecture" element in MOODLE, two options for computer scribing (intelligence maps created using the XMind program, and video scribing recorded in the Powtoon program). It is emphasized that one of the appropriate creative tasks in distance courses at an advanced stage is the creation of animated dialogues with a mandatory recording of one's own voice. In this way, it is possible to notice students’ pronunciation mistakes and correct them on time.
Linguistic games of such types as "Sorting", "Chamomile", "Crossword" etc. are recommended.
