The proposed study analyzes the use of linguistic tools in user comments on forums and social media. It explores the specifics of linguistic tools in this realm of social communication. It emphasizes that modern internet discourse is a dynamic and diverse phenomenon that reflects the cultural, social, and contextual characteristics of online communities. The study examines over a thousand comments from forums and identifies the primary linguistic means that users employ to express their thoughts and impressions. The research involves an analysis of sentence structure, the use of slang expressions, and syntactic constructions. Attention is given to typical linguistic tools that users employ in their messages, such as hashtags, emoticons, abbreviations, and other specific elements of speech. Additionally, it is found that some forums have their own peculiarities in language usage and the use of slang words. Forum users often create new linguistic tools and conventions that have become important for content identification and categorization. The analysis of internet discourse in comments is conducted using Amazon Comprehend. This service offers powerful capabilities for analyzing text data, including sentiment determination, identifying key phrases, and determining linguistic entities. The study concludes that forum users use various linguistic tools depending on the context and topic of discussion, while social media platforms influence the specificity of users' linguistic expression of their thoughts. This research is significant for understanding the specifics of language communication in social media and its impact on communication in general and internet communication in particular.
