MODERN APPROACHES AND METHODS TO THE FORMATION OF LEADERSHIP COMPETENCES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES WITH STUDENTS OF THE FIRST LEVEL OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN MILITARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of modern methods and approaches to the formation of leadership competencies in foreign language classes with students of the first level of higher education in military educational institutions. The relevance of the problem stated in the article is due to the great need to train a new generation of military leaders who will be fluent in a foreign language, have well-developed leadership competencies and be ready for effective professional activity in a dynamic and changing environment. The study pays special attention to the description of modern approaches, methods, means and forms of work in foreign language classes that contribute to the formation of students’ leadership competences in students of the first level of higher education in military educational institutions. The main results obtained in this research are the substantiation of the importance of applying various methods and approaches to the formation of leadership competences in foreign language classes in military educational institutions, as well as the identification of pedagogical conditions for the effective use of the described approaches and methods. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that its results make an important contribution to the further development of research related to the problems of developing leadership competencies in the context of foreign language classes with first-level students in military educational institutions.
