Abstract

Innovative technologies in humanities education make it possible to regulate collective activity and direct it in the right direction. Stereotypes of the collective consciousness affect the usual way of life, lead to painful phenomena and impede the renewal of all types of education. The reason for people’s reluctance to accept innovations in modern education lies in the blocking of vital needs for comfort, security, and self-affirmation. Innovative behaviour does not mean adaptation, it involves the formation of one’s own individuality and self-development. A teacher should understand that innovative education is a way of educating a personality that does not use «ready-made templates» but needs to constantly improve its intellectual level. The teacher must get rid of «complexes» and psychological barriers, and be ready to fully participate in innovative transformations. One of the tasks of modern humanities education is to unlock the potential of all participants in the teaching process and provide them with opportunities to show their creative abilities. The solution to these problems is possible only if the variability of educational approaches is implemented, and therefore various innovative types and educational institutions require deep scientific and practical understanding.
