Abstract

The given article highlights main aspects of the implementation of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) into the university teaching, in particular, the specifics of the usage of its elements during the teaching of the Ukrainian language as a foreign to foreign students who master the medical profession in Ukraine. The necessity to introduce pedagogical innovations and advanced European technologies in the context of the orientation of domestic didactic standards to global educational practices was emphases. The views of world and Ukrainian researchers on the essence, specifics and ways of using CLIL in the context of teaching foreign languages, including Ukrainian as a foreign language, was summarized and detailed. General principles of the outlined CLIL methodology were explained with the usage of based European and national experience in the sphare of teaching foreign languages in higher educational establishments. Attention was drawn to the peculiarities of the Content and Language Integrated Learning implementation into language learning in the Ukrainian medical institution of higher education. The advantages its utilizing were indicated and analyzed. In addition, the expediency of its gradual and balanced implementation in order to achieve the goals outlined by the actual educational programs in the training of highly qualified medical specialists capable of competing with graduates of European universities in the general global professional segment was outlined. Methods of an effective dual algorithm were distinguished and described. Combination of linguistic and professional content aspects during combined classes were proposed to use. The key vectors of preparation for this kind of training are highlighted with the emphasis on the coordination of activities of language teachers and tutors of professional disciplines.
