Abstract

The article analyzes regional linguistic features as an important dialectal evidence in the process of establishing the authorship of written texts. It is noted that this approach is used for linguistic examination of texts in judicial practice, in particular during the investigation of crimes, in copyright cases, establishing the authenticity of texts or their connection with certain individuals. It is found that determining the authorship of written texts using regional linguistic features is an important component of linguistic examination, which allows to determine with high accuracy the origin of the author and his connection with a certain region. The methods of lexical, grammatical, stylistic and statistical analysis are highlighted, which allow to study the text in detail, revealing linguistic elements that are characteristic of a certain geographical region. Lexical analysis allows to identify dialectisms and borrowings that indicate the regional affiliation of the author. Grammatical analysis focuses on sentence structure, the use of specific grammatical forms, and stylistic analysis focuses on the functional style and emotional coloring of language. Of particular importance is the use of statistical methods to quantify the frequency of use of certain linguistic elements, which can also confirm the regional affiliation of the text. It is concluded that this allows creating a linguistic profile of the author and is key to confirming or denying authorship based on dialect characteristics.
