Abstract

The fact that at the beginning of the third millennium, the concept of creation of a single European educational, scientific and communication environment, which gave the beginning to the Bolognese process, also matured on the basis of fundamental cultural ideas, which determined cultural advance of European civilization in the previous millennium and, in its turn, found its political reflection in All-European recommendations of the European Council on language education, was marked in the investigation. A concept of foreign education with methodological basis of language learning through the culture and culture learning through the language was suggested. The fact that English authentic text helps to form English monologic speech formation and also serves as an object of culture was investigated. The statement that communicative approach in learning foreign languages was enriched by competitiveness approach, in which language/linguistic, speech/discussion/text cognitive, all-cultural, sociocultural, lingual-cultural and pragmatic components are constituents, was marked. The concept that informativeness and semantics as well as conceptuality, emotiveness, imagery, rhythm, melodiousness and euphony cause unlimited esthetic, cognitive, communicative, personally valuable and educational possibilities of authentic poetic text, is stressed.
Three aspects of poetic discourse as combination of process and result, that is: linguistic, lingual-cognitive and lingual-pragmatic aspects, were outlined. Linguistic aspect of poetic discourse is presented by linguistic means, which are realized by the author of a poem in a poetic text. Lingual-cognitive aspect is presented by the linguistic consciousness of the author and recipient, which in their turn, influence both creation and perception of the poem. Lingual-pragmatic aspect is presented by conscious and subconscious choice of language means by the author, which characterizes the very action of poetic text creation – action of influence on recipient as intention of the author. Three levels of poetic text: semantic, syntactic and pragmatic, are suggested on this basis. Semantic level is connected with the information that is presented in the poetic text about reality, as well as about the author and recipient. Syntactic level presents connections between language forms. Pragmatic level reflects characteristics of the language situation: individual-personal, social, situational, as well as presupposition of the author and recipient of the poetic text.
Efficiency of authentic poetic text application while forming competence in English monologic speech is proved.
