METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF TEACHING GRAMMAR TO FIRST AND SECOND YEAR STUDENTS OF A SECOND FOREIGN LANGUAGE (GERMAN) USING THE TEXTBOOK «SPEKTRUM A1»

The article deals with the methodological aspects of teaching grammar to 1-2 year students learning German as a second foreign language. Effective methods of teaching grammatical structures are considered, in particular the communicative method, which promotes the integration of grammar into oral and written speech. Particular attention is paid to the combination of theoretical material with practical exercises that allow students to consolidate their knowledge in real-life language situations.
The role of exercises in the automation of grammatical structure, audiovisual aids in the learning process and the possibility of students’ independent work to deepen their language competence are analysed. The main difficulties in learning grammar are identified and ways to overcome them are suggested.
Effective teaching of grammar involves not only explaining the rules but also their active use in speech, which contributes to a better understanding and mastery of the German language.
