Abstract

The article deals with the verbalization of the concept “gentlemanliness” in the texts of English fiction of the XVIIIth century. The comparative analysis of the semantic features of the lexeme verbalizing a concept, which are indicated in the dictionaries and the notional content of the concept, which is expressed in the texts of fiction has been carried out.
