Abstract

Psychological well-being is one of the most important problem of psychological science. Every person in the process of life wants to achieve it by using all available external and internal resources. Over the past 20 years, with the advent of the Internet, there has been a fundamental transformation in the sphere of information exchange and communication, which infl uences on ways of achieving psychological well-being. The study is devoted to the analysis of the difference of the components of psychological well-being among individuals who spend little of their own active time in social networks and those who «live» there. The results showed that «low-activity» users have a higher level of psychological well-being. They are characterized by a greater ability to build close trusting relationships with others and at the same time have greater independence and a level of positive self-perception and confi dence than «highly active» users.
