The paper specifies the essence of the concept of “foreign language communicative competence of specialists in the field of tourism” as an integrative sustainable quality of the specialist in the field of tourism, which is shaped at the stage of professional training and in conditions of further professional intercultural cooperation, the efficiency of creating quasi-professional communicative activity in the system of forming the foreign language communicative competence of future specialists in the field of tourism is analyzed; the peculiarities of forming the foreign language communicative competence of future specialists in the field of tourism are specified; the efficiency of creating a quasi-professional foreign language communicative environment at foreign language classes as a means of forming a foreign language communicative competence has been proved; it is noted that quasi-professional non-language communicative activities at foreign language classes can be implemented in the form of a business game; it is noted that the formed foreign-language communicative competence of specialists in the field of tourism will determine their ability to work in the international and domestic professional environment, the fluency and skills to speak a foreign language while carrying out professional activities, the ability to communicate on topical issues of tourism development with experts representing other fields of activity.
