METHODOLOGICAL BASES OF SCIENTIFIC DIALOGICAL LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

The dialogical speech plays an important role in the course of teaching English in higher educational institutions. On the basis of the analysis and synthesis of scientific approaches features of the dialogical speech on scientific subject were analysed. It is established that the dialogical speech is a process of speech interaction of two or more participants of communication. The sequence of development of dialogical abilities is implemented in hierarchical creation of exercises system which is divided into subsystems (training and speech exercises), stages (prepared and unprepared of the speech), on types and types of exercises. Besides, formation of speech abilities is carried out by means of the consecutive stage-by-stage movement from simple units (phrase) to more difficult (text). It is considered that at educational modelling of scientific communication it is necessary to use a factor “mediation-officiality” and develop as the dialogical abilities’ characteristic of informal conversation, and debatable skills which are necessary for active participation in conferences. The factor “mediation-officiality” is of great importance as it significantly affects linguistic features of language for the scientific sphere of communication: mediated scientific sphere is sustained in colloquially literary style with partial penetration of scientific style, and in an official situation of conferences the scientific style with use of some lines colloquially literary style functions. It is found out that the dialogical speech is spontaneous unprepared speeches, connected with exchange of information and subjective attitude towards it. Using of the presented system of exercises contributes to the development of dialogical skills in students and it is an effective remedy of dialogical speech teaching on scientific subject in higher educational institutions and promotes formation at students of foreign-language professional competence.
