TYPOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF COMMUNICATIVE SITUATION FACTORS IN INFORMATIONAL NEWSPAPER TEXTS

The article deals with typological characteristics of communicative situation factors in informational newspaper texts, namely in weather forecast reports. An author, an addressee, a channel of transmitting information and a communicative purpose are considered to be communicative situation factors. Such notions as ‘presupposition’, ‘thesaurus’, ‘implication’ being firmly connected with basic factors ‘author’ and ‘addressee’ are also examined in the article. Factor of newspaper weather forecast report is represented as the pragmatic situation which has such specific peculiarities as genre characteristics, the originality of grapheme design and the use of paralinguistic means, conciseness as its capacity parameter, composition and implication structure as the right order of text information blocks. Each factor of communication situation in newspaper weather forecast report has two groups of characteristics: common – relevant to any type of texts and specific – for the texts mentioned above. Such factor as ‘author’ is a starting point for pragmalinguistic research of weather forecast report due to its objective existence and its leading role in the process of text production. Factors ‘addressee’ and ‘channel for transmitting information’ have the influence on the text production process, because only the author, taking into account their objective existence in extralinguistic reality, gives them the status of text production factors. Thefactor‘author’ isthestartingpointforthefactor ‘pragmaticpurpose’. Author’s communicative intention is actualized on the level of the whole text as well as in compositional blocks of the text.
