THE ROLE OF FEMINISTS: ORIGINS AND REALITIES OF TODAY

Abstract

The article discusses the origins of feminitives. Feminitives are not a new phenomenon in the Ukrainian language. Although feminitives date back to pre-writing times, their real functioning was fully manifested in written records. Isolated cases of the use of feminine forms were found in the Tale of Bygone Years. It is mainly the use of the suffix -nits(ya). The "Galician-Volyn Chronicle" is a rather striking fact in support of femitization. It is in this note that the advantage of using the suffix -k- when creating the feminine can be traced. It is worth noting that feminitives do not create new names, but only suffixes that can be used to form female names of positions and professions. In general, femitivization as a social phenomenon originates from Slavic dialects, later formed a solid basis for the formation and development of feminitives as a separate category. Their role and status are defined. The advantage of using feminine forms is that they expand the active vocabulary, express our language, are an authentic Ukrainian expression, and the main thing is that the masculine form of words is not identified with the feminine form, they strengthen the role of women in the official sphere and emphasize her active role alongside men.
