Abstract

This article analyzes the philosophical and social aspects of the development of IT education in Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of integrating technical knowledge with humanitarian disciplines. Based on Wilhelm Dilthey’s ideas about hermeneutics, the article offers a new perspective on IT education as a process of learning technical skills and a deep understanding of the social context in which this knowledge is applied. Special attention is paid to critical thinking and social responsibility, which are key to training future specialists. The role of international cooperation in improving IT education is also considered. The author cites successful partnership programs, such as the Trans-Atlantic Virtual Exchange and BeSTEC, which help integrate educational institutions into a global context. The international exchange of knowledge contributes to improving the quality of education and developing innovations, which are critical for the modern educational process in the conditions of globalization. The importance of ensuring equal access to IT education is highlighted separately, given the threats of the digital divide arising from inequality in access to technology. The article offers practical recommendations for increasing the inclusiveness of educational programs and ensuring access to modern technologies for all population segments. The author also emphasizes the need to implement a practice-oriented approach in IT education, which allows students to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
