LINGUISTIC ASPECTS OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AS A ELEMENT OF ACTIVATION OF TRAINING ACTIVITIES OF STUDENTS-FOREASERS

Abstract

The article defines the linguistic bases for formation of intercultural communication and outlines the role of foreign students in this process. The most important aspects of intercultural communication, in particular the linguistic one, were analyzed in the framework of activation of verbal communication of foreign students. A general analysis of intercultural communication with an emphasis on the linguistic aspect of intercultural communication was presented. The definitions of such terms as communication and intercultural communication were clarified and supplemented by our own interpretation. The language differences that may affect the communication between the speakers of different languages and cultures were explained in order to use the results in practice. Taking into account the fact that foreign students are people of different nationalities and with different political preferences, interests, behavioral norms and aesthetic tastes, the ways of purposeful management of the learning process, which is subordinated to the aim of professional training in formation of internal motives and goals for learning, were studied. The language differences that can affect communication between speakers of different languages were made actual. The significance of the competence-based approach in education was explained (the development of each student’s ability to independently find and solve problems of different nature, in particular a foreign student should not only master the Ukrainian language as a means of communication, but also act as a member of society in a new socio-cultural space). The cognitive aspects of the language that affect the minds of students and help to find the most successful methods of obtaining knowledge were identified. The features of the linguistic culture of different communicants were analyzed in the framework of verbal communication.
