Abstract

The article reveals and substantiates axiological changes in various spheres of culture, which are a prerequisite and, at the same time, a consequence of the civilizational choice of modern Ukrainian society. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the identification and confirmation of value changes that clearly outline the purpose and content of the existence of Ukrainian society in the present and in the future – in the post-war period. The methodological principles of the study are determined by the change in the axiological paradigm, the essence of which is the transition from traditional, post-colonial values to human-centric, humanistic, pro-European values. The objectivity of the formation of axiological changes under the influence of a number of factors in the social existence of the community and the subjectivity of their reflection in the forms of the human life world (natural, social, spiritual, material, etc.) are determined. An algorithm for the development of the process of value changes in culture as a system of values has been modeled, which provides for the following cyclically repeated stages in the dialectical cause-and-effect relationship of the civilizational choice of modern Ukrainian society: the emergence of prerequisites (events, phenomena, worldview-mental shifts in the existence of Ukrainian society and the world) ↔ changes in the value paradigm (as a feeling in the subject of a lack of something desired, awareness and justification of the need to achieve it, choice of actions and activities for its implementation) ↔ consequence as a result of these changes and, at the same time, a prerequisite for their correction and consolidation in the worldview, forms of culture, the legislative and legal sphere and for the emergence of new developments in changes. In the variety of forms, ways and means of creating artifacts, culture as a “second nature” plays a key role in the formation of a new axiological paradigm. However, it is the human-centric reorientation of all spheres of Ukrainian culture that proves the obviousness of the fact that the primordial values of Truth, Goodness, Beauty, Freedom are the human dimension of consciousness, they permeate the inner world of the individual, exist in the structure of human existence, are connected with objective reality, are concentrated in intellectual-cognitive, emotional-sensual, spiritual-volitional manifestations, and are our personal attitude to the surrounding world.
