PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECTS OF THE SOCIO-POLITICAL INFLUENCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE GOVERNANCE OF SOCIETY

Abstract

The article explores the philosophical aspects of the socio-political impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on governance in the context of global digital transformation. It examines AI’s role as a tool for improving public administration efficiency, political decision-making, forecasting socio-political processes, and enhancing communication between governments and citizens. The study emphasizes that AI is becoming not only a technological innovation but also a new social actor that reshapes the structure of social relations, political culture, and moral norms. The key advantages of AI implementation – analytical capacity, processing speed, objectivity, and transparency – are highlighted alongside potential risks such as privacy violations, algorithmic bias, job displacement, and the threat of dehumanizing decision-making.
A philosophical analysis of the ethical and legal challenges arising from delegating decision-making powers to algorithmic systems is conducted. The paper justifies the need to develop ethical standards and legal frameworks to regulate AI in political governance, ensuring transparency, security, and public trust. The author stresses the importance of harmonizing technological progress with humanistic values and maintaining balance between automation and human participation in decision-making processes.
It is concluded that the integration of AI into socio-political governance is not only a technological challenge but also a philosophical and humanitarian issue requiring a systemic, ethically grounded approach and a culture of responsible technology use. AI has the potential to become a key instrument for enhancing transparency, efficiency, and democracy in political processes – provided that human freedom, responsibility, and justice remain at the core of its implementation.
