Abstract

Understanding the role of performatives in shaping the discourse of war prompts us to study the relationship between the phenomena of language, art, and violence, and also leads to an analysis of the semantics of war. The connection between language and art as ancient pre-cultural phenomena is obvious and lays the foundation for the formation of a certain universal cultural and historical code that influences the development of certain established ways of perceiving reality and the possibility of their verbal expression.
The performative meaning of language and the performative power of art are of great interest today in connection with the study of the essence of such a phenomenon as violence. In turn, analyzing the relationship between these three phenomena (language, art, and violence) opens up a perspective for understanding the phenomenon of war. This article will be devoted to the study of the role of performatives in the formation of the aesthetic and political discourse of war, as well as to the comprehension of the semantics of war.
