Conflict of interest
The editorial policy of this publication regarding conflicts of interest was developed based on the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
For Authors
Authors are required to fully disclose any conflicts of interest when preparing and submitting a publication to the journal. The editor may also decide not to publish an article based on any declared conflicts of interest. All authors are obliged to declare any conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or any other relationships with individuals or organizations that could inappropriately influence their scientific work. Both financial and non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission to ensure clear identification and prevent the publication of works by authors with potential conflicts of interest. All conflicts of interest must be indicated by the authors in the “Title Page” file.
For Reviewers
If a reviewer has doubts about a potential conflict of interest declared by the author that, in their opinion, may hinder the review process, they must inform the editor and decline to review the manuscript. A conflict of interest may be personal, financial, intellectual, professional, political, or religious. If a reviewer is currently employed at the same institution as any of the authors, or has recently (for example, within the last three years) been a supervisor, subordinate, close colleague, or co-owner of grants with any of the authors, they should not agree to review. Furthermore, a reviewer should not accept a manuscript simply to become acquainted with it without the intention of providing a review or agree to review a manuscript that is very similar to one they are preparing for publication or are currently reviewing for another journal.
The editorial board offers authors reviews by qualified reviewers who can judge the quality of the article and have no conflict of interest with respect to the manuscript under review. If there is suspicion of improper conduct by reviewers, we follow the COPE recommendations and discontinue cooperation with reviewers who provide low-quality or untimely reviews. If issues arise that are not addressed by COPE recommendations or if there are new violations of scholarly norms, the journal’s editorial office appeals to COPE.
